In addition to the best technology commonly available to residential customers, Sollarus offers some truly innovative systems. For example, sunlight can be channeled from places where it may be difficult to install typical photovoltaic panels. The channeled light can then be split into optical and heat bands, the optical band powering concentrated photovoltaic cells while the heat is used in a Stirling cycle device (and then perhaps cascaded to heat water for the home). Systems such as these can achieve efficiencies exceeding 75%, whereas typical commodity-type solar panels have overall efficiencies closer to 20%.
While the use of real estate commissions to power solar energy installations is unique, even more is possible.
The award-winning real estate agents that Sollarus works with can do much more than just contribute financially to the installation of your home energy system. By bringing the seller into the act, some interesting possibilities emerge.
When a motivated seller is involved, the real estate agent can get an extra contribution from the selling-side commission (there are two parts to a commission, one to the seller's agent and one to the buyer's). Moreover, an enlightened, motivated seller might agree to upgrade the property prior to sale, so that the entire home energy system can be financed in the home mortgage.

Safely, cleanly, conveniently and, not least of all, inexpensively... for about $1/gallon!
Any home can be set up to produce clean, alternative auto fuel - at or below the cost of $1 per gallon equivalent! That's right, for one dollar you can make the equivalent of a gallon of gasoline in the form of clean-burning bio-ethanol or solar hydrogen. All cars manufactured in the last two decades can run on at least 50% alcohol and, with a simple, inexpensive upgrade, 100% alcohol. The upgrade is hardly much of a mechanical challenge: just a simple addition to your car's computer.
